How many of you know what color Blue that is??? I did not, so I had to have the customer send the box, so I could match fabric to the color...goodness, tough color and penguins...have you tried to find a "realistic looking penguin fabric" not real easy, so I had to improvise.
Here is what I came up with for the baby quilt that was ordered.....
I used a blanket stitch to applique the penguin to the white on white fabric....oh yes and stuffing the belly area...
I had to make my own fabric, by embroidering little marching penguins on the borders...on the Tiffany box blue fabric
some simple quilting to pull it all together and the striped fabric to bind it...
What a project...the borders took 6 1/2 hours for each side to embroider...my machine was tired of embroidering the same thing over and over...
Turned out pretty cute!!
